The Wisdom of this World Will Never Compare
I was not prepared! No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get it together. I was supposed to talk for 5 minutes at our district pastor’s conference. I hesitantly stepped onto stage with my mess of a note sheet. There were so many good things I wanted to say about Great Commission Women. Words of challenge and encouragement. A challenge to equip leaders. I wanted to be memorable and impactful.

“SHOP THE GROVE” at Mahaffey Camp
Each year on the Thursday of Mahaffey Camp from 9 a.m.–noon, the Grove is filled with tables from churches from all over the district. The churches have donated a wide variety of items for the IWs to “shop the Grove” and use while on home assignment or to take back to the field.

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. – Colossians 2:6-7

The Upside-Down Life
The other thing that came right back was the “being a Mom feeling.” Nothing much was really getting done here – just feeding, dressing, undressing, washing, unwashing, entertaining, refereeing, listening, negotiating, coaching, anticipating, teaching, guarding, and eradicating (some) sin. Pretty much took everything I had to give. Lots of sweetness and love but no great sense of accomplishment.
