I live in rural Iowa, surrounded by corn and soybean fields. During these past few weeks I’ve watched the once-green fields turn golden brown. I awoke one morning last month with a phrase on my heart and mind—“look at the fields.”

I recently took a personality test in consultation with an expert on the subject. I had never heard about this test until a group of people at work began talking about it. After the result was shared with me, I immediately read its definition. At the beginning, I disagreed with it.

“Jen, Jen, you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed” (see Luke 10:41).

Have you heard the Holy Spirit speak words like this to you? I certainly have.

“Free as a bird.” This is often what we imagine true freedom feels like. Birds are light and agile and fly wherever they choose.
